Using a USB 2.0/3.0 compatible XQD card reader or an XQD ExpressCard adapter, quickly and easily transfer large quantities of very high capacity data like RAW images to PC, delivering efficient and fast workflow.

XQD card is a new recording media from the consumer department  designed for the following applications:
- As a secondary media for XDCAM EX camcorders coupled with a PC express adaptor.The new cards supports the recently adopted XQD (eXtremely Quick Data transfer) specification for high-speed, high-performance digital image capture.
- As a main media for compatible high-end DSLR cameras (exclusive compatibility with Nikon D4 camera)

XQD XDCAM EX recording formats: UDF 4:2:2 50 mbp/s (.mxf) FAT 4:2:0 35&25 mbp/s (.avi & .mp4)
XQD is a 'secondary media' for emergency use, just like SD or Memory Stick (SxS is the main media for XDCAM camcorders)
XQD: transfer speed 1Gbps (SxS-1 transfer speed 1.2Gbps)

XQD speed 10MB/s (SxS-1 speed 30MB, more reliable, smooth migration from card A to card B when shooting with 2 cards in the camcorders, SxS-1 offers perfect compatibility with XDCAM camcorders à lifetime indication, salvage function, slow & quick motion - not possible with XQD, recovery service through our European Customer Service (not possible with XQD)
