SMAD-P3 Multi Interface Shoe (MI Shoe) adaptor for cable-free connection

The wireless receiver of the UWP-D Series can be attached to camcorders or interchangeable-lens cameras that have an MI (Multi-Interface) shoe using the MI shoe adaptor SMAD-P3. This eliminates the need for connecting cables. By using the MI shoe adaptor, audio signals can be transmitted from the wireless receiver to a camera. In addition, the wireless receiver can get power from the camera, and the camera can control power ON/OFF, unifying power management.

The SMAD-P3 is applicable to XDCAM Camcorder PXW-X70, PXW-X160, PXW-X180, PXW-X280, PXW-X200* and PXW-FS7, Handycam HXR-MC2500, FDR-AX100, NEX-VG900 & NEX-VG30, plus interchangeable lens digital camera α7/ α7R/ α7S/ α99, α7S pro and Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 (as of November 2014).

*Please note: The MI Shoe on the PXW-X200 will be activated by a firmware version upgrade scheduled for Spring 2015

• No need for separate XLR cable

  Using an MI Shoe connection, the audio signal from a UWP-D11 or UWP-D12 wireless microphone package can be input from the wireless microphone receiver to the camera without an XLR cable.

• Power can be supplied by camera

  Power can be switched on and off from the camera/camcorde
